The hotel has been newly renovated wiith top of the range fittings. It is fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very good. We used the hotel as a stop over and really enjoyed being there.

Modern decor and location,
The room we had this year (we've stayed here before) was vastly inferior to the room we had previously. The bath was immediately inside the room door, and it was not possible (because of sloping ceilings) to stand up in the bath, and there was no shower.

Les Palis is a recently entirely renovated boutique (I think that would be the word) hotel redesigned and equipped in a modern way but retaining the character (old beams, etc) of the original; the menu is a bit more adventurous than normal; private parking behind entry-coded gates; although in the main square it was very quiet; professional but friendly staff
No level access from the parking but you can park in front temporarily to load/unload

The rooms were comfortable -- beds wre great, heating element in the bathroom was great for drying hand wash!
Hotel staff was variable in helpfulness. Breakfast was truly awful -- powdered eggs, supermarket offerings -- a better choice would have been the patisserie a few doors down and the coffee shop almost next door.

Room was pleasant with good views of the little town. Food was good.
Being locked out in the car-park was most disarming. Hotel design very confusing but I suppose they needed the big new function room which was also the Restaurant. There seemed to be a shortage of Staff.

Tiny frontage old looking frontage leading into a very modern hotel. Interesting layout and decor. Excellent food but wine prices far too high. Very helpful staff.

The shape of the room would not have suited everybody but was no problem to us.

We thought the conversion had been done with great sympathy, with original features retained, but blending well with modern facilities. Breakfast was excellent.
Unfortunately, we stayed on a Sunday night - the only evening the restaurant doesn't open. We had been looking forward to a great meal, as the restaurant looked fantastic in the brochure. The hotel staff were helpful in recommending somewhere else to eat.

Very helpful staff. Good air conditioning in rooms.
We had no BBC channel reception on the second visit of our vacation due to decoder problems. The first visit of our vacation was fine in this respect.

Situated in the centre of a small town with some interesting shops and a good mix of old and new buildings. Surrounded by pleasant countryside and fairly close to places such as St. Nazier; Chateaubriant; Racing and rallying car centre. The hotel is modern, interesting design with plenty of light and character. The staff are excellent, always trying to please in a friendly unforceful manner. looking forward to visiting again.
